1. Get a hosting plan Purchase a new Hostinkos web hosting plan from our web site, starting from €3.49 /month.

If you can access your current hosting account then you have everything needed to request a transfer to your new account. It’s always a good idea to don't cancel your existing service until you have fully migrated.


2. Allow us access Open a Ticket or send us an email to contact@hostinkos.com, about your existing web hosting information. Within your message, please tell us when you'd like the migration to take place.

Tell us what your existing web hosting account credentials are (login URL, username, and password) to allow us to directly perform the migration for you.



3. Sit back & relax Just wait to hear from our Team to confirm the completion. We'll take care of the entire site transfer process for you. Your site will be migrated quickly and securely.

4. Test everything Once the website has been moved the migrations we will ask you to test your site to ensure everything is as you would expect. Your new hosting comes with a Temporary URL that can be used to test your site before making it go live.

5. Let Your DNS complete propagation If everything is OK we may then contact you to change the name servers for your domain so that it’s pointing at our servers. Our team will be providing you with step by step instructions on updating your DNS to complete the process.

Remember that DNS record changes can take 12 to 24 hours, so don’t be surprised if this information doesn’t change immediately after you’ve altered your DNS. You shouldn’t experience any downtime during this period, but you will want to make sure that you don’t make any changes to your site.

What's included in website migration to Hostinkos

Migrations can be requested by opening a support ticket from your Client Area. Further details on migrations to each type of hosting service we offer are below.

- Any requested website should be running correctly on your current provider - any errors being logged or functional issues with the site should be resolved by you before the migration. We will check your site is running correctly once it's migrated - but we won't fix existing issues.

- For full cPanel migration, we guarantee a migration time in less than 24 hours with no more than 15 minutes of downtime. Please keep in mind that partial cPanel migration often takes longer than 24 hours.

- If for some reason we do not meet our full cPanel migration guarantee, or if you are not completely satisfied with how your migration was managed, we will credit your account with the value of your purchase of shared hosting with Hostinkos.

- When providing us with your existing hosting credentials, please choose a temporary password that will be used only during this migration process. It will need to be reset once the process is completed. Hostinkos cannot be responsible for any security issues that arise should you choose not to follow this password instruction.

- Hostinkos is not liable for any loss of data or any other detrimental impact to your site throughout the migration process.

- Hosting migration is guaranteed for cPanel-based hosting accounts and sites created using WordPress. Any manual website migrations will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

- Your account with the old provider should be active for at least 2-5 days after the transfer assistance request submission. Otherwise, we may not be able to finish the transfer of the files on time.

- Email accounts only included with cPanel migrations. Non-cPanel migrations may require email to be manually migrated.


Reseller migration to Hostinkos from cPanel hosts

- In order to manage the migration, we require full WHM account access.

- We will restore as many cPanel accounts as you require as long as you provide the cpMove files uploaded to your Hostinkos reseller hosting.


Reseller migration to Hostinkos from non-cPanel hosts

- We will move your primary web site free of charge, further sites can be moved at 5EUR per site.

Yes, that is no problem. Our shared hosting (referring to non VPS/Dedicated Servers) services use cPanel or Plesk which is the most common control panels. If your current hosting doesn't use these or doesn't use a control panel at all, then we can manually transfer all your website's data.
No, we will migrate all your website's data to your new hosting package, and when you are ready you can change your domains nameservers which will make the swap from your old to new hosting. We recommend not cancelling or turning off your old web hosting for 72 hours once you have made the nameserver change.
We aim to have basic websites transferred within 3 hours but transfer time depends on your website's size. For example, many bloggers have a large amount of images which could mean they have files using up to 25GB of disk space, so it will take longer to transfer this amount of data. We will keep you updated during the transfer process.
No, we don't limit you on the number of sites to migrate. If you have any special migration cases such as 100's of GB of data then we recommend contacting the sales team as this may require extra time and need to be quoted for. Most websites are under 10GB and we do not limit the number of sites in these cases.
